Oracle® Insurance Policy Administration 9.6.0.0 E35883-01
The Policy Overview screen provides a read-only summary of policy details, such as policy roles, segments, segment roles and policy values.
When a policy is opened in OIPA, the default view of the policy that is displayed to the user is the Policy Overview screen. When a policy is selected from the drop down list under the Policy Main menu (this is the list of most recent policies), the Policy Overview screen is the default view. Policy Overview is the first link on the Policy screen Left Navigation menu.
This screen will only be available if configuration exists to support it. If configuration is not present, then the Policy Overview screen and links will not be visible.
Policy Overview Link on Policy Screen
There are five sections available on the Policy Overview screen. A section will not display if the user does not have the proper security privileges or if no information exists for the section. For example, if no roles exist for the policy, then the Policy Roles section will not display. Below are the available sections of the Policy Overview Screen.
Activities can be added from the Policy Overview screen when the Add Activities option is selected from the Secondary menu. The user must have security privileges to access the Add Activity link.
When the Add Activity window opens, the activity can be selected from the Add Activity drop down box and the specific activity information can be entered.
An additional button is available at the bottom of the Add Activity window. This button is called OK Navigate and when clicked will save the activity and automatically navigate the user to the Activities screen provided that user security grants permission for the Activities screen. This differs from the traditional OK button, in that when OK is clicked, the Add Activity window simply closes and the user remains on the Policy Overview screen. The user would then need to navigate to the Activity screen to process the activity. The OK Navigate button is not available on the Activity Detail window when the activity is being added from the Activities page.
